Dorothy Linder Elementary School

Pre-K

Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten, where the joy of learning begins! At Linder, our Pre-K curriculum, aligned with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines, is designed to foster a love for learning and set the stage for a successful educational journey. Through play-based activities and hands-on experiences, our little learners will develop crucial skills across various domains. In Language Arts and Reading, they will begin to recognize letters, develop phonological awareness, and engage in imaginative storytelling. Mathematics will introduce them to numbers, counting, shapes, and patterns, nurturing their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Science will ignite their curiosity as they explore the world around them, investigating concepts like plants, animals, and the environment. Social Studies will introduce them to basic concepts of community, diversity, and the importance of cooperation. Pre-K is a time for creativity, imagination, and social-emotional growth, where our young learners develop their communication skills, build friendships, and gain confidence in expressing themselves. Together, we'll provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that prepares them for a smooth transition into Kindergarten, laying a strong foundation for their future academic success!
